The 2011 Faith Matters Survey is the follow-up wave to Putnam and Campbell's 2006 survey behind American Grace — 1,361 of the 2006 respondents re-interviewed, plus a fresh sample of 751 adults and 210 young adults, for 2,322 interviews in all. It repeats most of the 2006 battery and adds new items: whether the world is soon coming to an end, whether salvation comes through deeds or faith, how respondents would react to a mosque or church being built in their community, and whether organized religion has too much or too little influence on politics. Its own religious-tradition coding keeps Latter-day Saints separate (49 respondents), so full-sample items can be broken out by tradition. Because most respondents are 2006 panelists, the two waves are shown as separate datasets rather than pooled. This copy is redistributed by Ryan Burge (github.com/ryanburge).
