Pew Research Center's 2015 Survey of U.S. Catholics and Family Life: 5,122 U.S. adults 18+ surveyed by telephone (landline and cellphone) May 5–June 7, 2015, in English and Spanish. The sample is the general public, not Catholics only, but includes 1,016 respondents who are Catholic by religion — enough to analyze Catholic opinion on the pope, confession, Communion practice, and Church teachings on marriage and family on its own. It underlies Pew's 2015 reports "Catholics Divided Over Global Warming" and "U.S. Catholics Open to Non-Traditional Families."
